The BioChem Journey

40 years of growth and milestones

1984

Our story began with a critical challenge from Coors Brewing Company. Following a tragic workplace incident involving a hazardous solvent used to clean aluminum cans prior to filling, Coors sought a safer solution that would maintain performance without compromising employee safety.

Working alongside a team of world-class chemists, a groundbreaking formula was developed that was highly effective, non-toxic, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. That innovation became known as BioT Max®, a product that remains one of BioChem’s best-selling solutions today.

1985

Coors quickly realized the technology they created could be vital to other industries. They established BioChem Systems to continue developing safer solvents for new applications and new markets. Since 1985, BioChem has been dedicated to replacing hazardous workplace chemicals with safer alternatives – without compromising effectiveness.

1995

BioChem was acquired by a family-owned company based in Wichita, Kansas.
